When Bratz was originally released in 2001, there were only 4 characters: Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha, and Jade. These four were produced in the majority of Bratz lines and are the main characters of the Bratz. In 2015, a new character, Raya, was introduced as the fifth main character. Over 10 years after the debut of the Bratz, over 100 characters were added to the Bratz world. She was slated to appear once again in 2006's Bratz Ice Champions/On Ice collection, but was pulled before production for unknown reasons. Her name was culturally inaccurate and considered offensive; May Lin is a misromanization of Meilin, a stereotypical Chinese name. *Meygan - Nicknamed Funky Fashion Monkey. She was sometimes considered the fifth main Bratz character due to her many appearances and due to her Bratzillaz counterpart, Meygana Broomstix, being one of the five main Bratzillaz characters (up until 2015 when Raya became the fifth main Bratz character), but is not an original like Cloe, Jade, Yasmin, and Sasha.
